Young Americans: Upcoming 1.8.2010


"Young Americans" is an upcoming comedy that stars Topher Grace ("That 70's Show") and Anna Faris ("Scary Movie"). Grace co-wrote the film with Gordon Kaywin and "That 70's Show" writers Jackie Filgo and Jeff Filgo. The movie takes place in the 1980s and follows the adventures of recent MIT graduate Matt Franklin (Topher Grace), his twin sister Wendy (Anna Faris), and his best friend Barry Nathan (Dan Folger from "Balls of Fury") as they attempt to come to a conclusion about what they should do with their lives. Matt has walked out on his well-paid position at a local lab and taken a low-level job as a video clerk, he also pursues his dream girl Tori Frederking (Teresa Palmer from "Bedtime Stories") at a wild Labor Day party. The cast also includes Chris Pratt as Wendy's fiance, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Michael Biehn. "Young Americans" was directed by "FUBAR" director Michael Dowse and is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on January 8, 2010.
