Brüno: Upcoming 7.10.2009

"Bruno" is the third film by Sacha Baron Cohen featuring one of his characters from his television series "Da Ali G Show". This is by far his raunchiest film to date and the R rating shouldn't be taken lightly. You should really think of this movie as a NC-17 rating and I think no one under 17 should see this movie. This time out Baron Cohen plays flamboyant Austrian fashion reporter Bruno, who gets fired from his fashion show and sets out to become a star in the United States. Similar to "Borat", Bruno travels around the country and gets in many outrageous situations, many of which may be viewed as uncomfortable. Many people are criticizing the film to be too offensive to be a funny film and calling it a terrible movie. I think yes it is offensive and yes it is very vulgar, but it also made me laugh really hard even with both of those elements. I will give a recommendation to see this but on one occasion, if you saw "Borat" enjoyed it and wasn't uncomfortable with "Borat" do not see this film because it is about 1,000 times more uncomfortable. With all that in consideration I still think "Bruno" deserves 3 1/2 wheelchairs out of 5.
