Terminator Salvation: In Theaters 5.21.2009
"Terminator Salvation" is the fourth film in the "Terminator" series and it does not disappoint. The film is set in 2018 as John Connor is leading the Human Resistance in the war against the Skynet machines. The world in the film is depicted as being post-apocalypse and it features terminators hunting down humans and placing them in concentration camps. This movie does a great job at keeping up with the same feeling seen in the previous films, but it also incorporates many elements that you've never seen before. The cast is lead by Batman star Christian Bale as Connor and Australian actor Sam Worthington as part man, part cyborg, Marcus Wright. Bale and Worthington both give star-stellar performances. Also don't be shocked if you hear a familar voice and see a familar face. The film was directed by "Charlie's Angels" and "We Are Marshall" director McG and was written by "Terminator 3" writers, John Brancato and Michael Ferris with uncredited rewrites by Paul Haggis, "Shield" writer Shawn Ryan, and Jonathan Nolan. Haggis is best known for writing "Million Dollar Baby", "Casino Royale", and "Quantum of Solace" where Nolan co-wrote hits, "Momento" and "The Dark Knight". All in all, "Terminator Salvation" was an excellent summer action movie and might be the second best film in the franchise. "Terminator Salvation" gets 3 1/2 wheelchairs out of 5. View trailer here
