Youth in Revolt: In Theaters 1.8.2010
"Youth in Revolt" is a black comedy based on the 1993 novel "Youth in Revolt: The Journals of Nick Twisp" written by C.D. Payne, Michael Cera stars as Nick Twisp ("Superbad"). Nick Twisp is a cynical sex-obsessed 16-year-old, who is jealous of his divorced parents' (Steve Buscemi and Jean Smart) sex filled personal lives. Nick's life changes when he meets his dream girl, Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday). But when Sheeni tells Nick that she has a boyfriend (Jonathan B. Wright), Nick comes up with an alter-ego named Francois to win her heart. Francois looks like Nick, but has blue eyes, a mustache, a deeper voice, and a bad boy attitude. But Francois ends up making Nick a wanted criminal and everything spins out of control. Other cast members include Justin Long ("Accepted") as Sheeni's brother George, Zach Galifianakis ("The Hangover") as Estelle Twisp's trucker boyfriend, and Ray Liotta ("Goodfellas") as a policeman who gets involved with Estelle Twisp. The film was written by Gustin Nash ("Charlie Bartlett") and was directed by "Chuck & Buck" and "The Good Girl" director Miguel Arteta. The film was very funny and very original. Michael Cera was great in the movie and definitely showed how good of the actor he is. With this movie Cera absolutely stepped out of his typecast. The Francois character was simply awesome. "Youth in Revolt" receives 3 1/2 wheelchairs out of 5. View Trailer Here

I agree with the 3 1/2 wheelchairs. We needed a movie to see what other kind of characters Michael Cera can play... this was definitely it! I am suprised, Jake, that you didn't cave and give an extra half wheelchair here!
